Sunday: AM, PM, and Abs (10 minutes each)Įach week has a different teacher, as well as one who teaches all the weekend classes, for a total of 4 teachers. Each week has a theme – Foundation, Expansion, and Progression. The lessons build on each other, meaning you are being introduced to new skills and poses each day, that re-appear in subsequent classes. ? So I decided to put the weights down, step away from the Peloton, and embrace nothing but my mat for what I liked to call “N-OHM-vember.”ģ Week Yoga retreat is a program aimed at beginner yogis. Mentally and physically, I was pushing myself too much. But still – it held me back from doing this program from start to finish.įast forward to this fall, and man – I was tired. And without my weights and intense cardio for 21 whole days, would I set my fitness back? Knowing all I do about the benefits of yoga, that was a silly thought, I know. Why not?!?! Well, because in my mind, I like lifting weights too much to eliminate that for 3 weeks. I’ve been working out at home with them since 2014! And I was super pumped when they announced they’d be coming out with a yoga-only program (yoga has been incorporated, mainly as “recovery days” in many of their other workouts). As a Beachbody coach, I am very familiar with most of Beachbody’s workout programs. So that’s why I decided to try Beachbody’s program, 3 Week Yoga Retreat. But admittedly – that’s not very frequently! Between my regular work schedule, my yoga and dance teaching schedule, and my other workouts, a personal yoga practice is something that unfortunately gets the short end of the stick.

I am a yoga instructor and take the opportunity to practice on my own whenever I can.
